While at work Mr B suffered a severe crush injury to his pelvis and lower spine. As a result he was unable to walk and confined to a wheel chair. He also required full time care, alternative accommodation with special adaptations and a specially adapted vehicle. Mr B was unable to return to work. Mr B recovered a seven-figure compensation sum.
Mr C was driving his car when he was hit from behind. Mr C sustained a whiplash injury to the neck, with referred pain to the shoulders and associated headaches. Miss H was riding her bike into work when a vehicle turned straight across her path. Miss H sustained severe scarring to her right leg and a broken right wrist. As a result of the accident Miss H could not work for 9 months. RMPI Solicitors secured an immediate payment from the insurance company to enable Miss H to continue paying her mortgage during the 9-month period. Miss H was also awarded the sum of £49,500 in damages for her claim.
Mr D sustained a head injury as a result of a road traffic accident. The injuries were very serious. He could not work and was also struggling to manage his day to day life. Mr N was overtaking a line of stationery traffic when a vehicle emerged from the line of traffic, colliding with Mr N and his motorbike. Passenger in a vehicle accident
Miss S was a passenger in a car when it collided with the rear of another vehicle. Miss S sustained a severe whiplash injury to her neck and back; the injuries lasted for almost 3 years. In addition Miss S was also unable to work for 4 months, which resulted in a loss of bonus. RMPI Solicitors secured the sum of £12,965.00 in damages for loss of bonus and personal injury.
Ms B was crossing the road when she was knocked over by an uninsured driver. We successfully recovered compensation for Ms B from the Motor Insurers Bureau under their uninsured driver’s agreement and which, on top of her injuries, included damages for the loss of enjoyment of her holiday and damage to personal items/clothing etc. While Ms B was paid by her employer until her return to work, she lost out on overtime which she regularly undertook. Ms B was a seated passenger on a bus when the driver broke sharply causing Ms B to fall to the floor, sustaining a back injury and a cut to the head. Mrs W slipped on tomato ketchup in a supermarket causing her to fall and sustain a back injury. RMPI solicitors established that the supermarket did not have an adequate system of cleaning in place and proved that the supermarket had therefore failed in their duty of care to her. Mrs W obtained £3,250.00 in compensation.
Mrs C slipped on a spilt coffee in a hotel and fell down a flight of concrete stairs. As a result of the fall, Mrs C damaged her spine, which caused paralysis. As soon as we were instructed we arranged for rehabilitation treatment to begin and then went on to obtain an immediate payment from the hotel's insurance company, which enabled Mrs C to pay her bills. We then arranged for Mrs C's home to be modified and succeeded in securing a seven-figure sum in settlement, enablnig her to get back the quality of life she had lost as a result of the accident.
Mrs G was travelling in her car when another driver drove into the rear of her vehicle and as a result suffered a whiplash injury. Due to the severity of her symptoms Mrs G underwent extensive treatment and despite this she had to look for alternative employment.
